What is the Newton St Cyres Calendar for?

This year, Newton St Cyres opens its calendar 2024 to budding photographers across the community of Newton St Cyres to submit their best shots from around the community. We want to see a snapshot of village life and beauty. The theme of the calendar is “Life in the Village”.

We want people to buy the calendar and have the whole experience of life within the community and need you to take pictures of our landscapes, wildlife, people working on the land, businesses and more.

Pictures can be posted on https://www.facebook.com/thenewtonwonder/ or https://www.instagram.com/thenewtonwonder/ in the first instance. The deadline is still to be confirmed but printing will start towards the end of July. After the deadline has passed, the photos will be judged and a shortlist of 12 photographs will be chosen. The final round of voting belongs to the general public, who are allowed to choose the winner, who's photo will be the front cover from the final 12 images chosen to go in the calendar.

There will also be a range of smaller images on each page and each photo printed will have the photographers name under each photo.

This is not open to professional photographers, but amatuer photographers who love taking pictures, whether a camera or mobile, it doen't matter. We want everyone to get involved and have the chance to have their picture in print. Young or old it dosen't matter.

We look forward to seeing you pictures

The theme for the calendar is “LIFE IN THE VILLAGE” 2024 Calendar?
The best 12 photographs will make up the Newton Wonder Calendar for 2024, which will be sold online through https://www.newtonwonder.net/ and all profits will be donated to local charities within the community.

Entries have to be submitted by 30th of July 2023. Details of how to submit your pictures will be notified over the next month
The competition isn’t open to professionals but amateur photographers only, living in or around the community of Newton St Cyres

How to order your copy
Orders for the calendar will open in towards the middle of July 2023
